Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Sellæg got the match started through his kick off. Dagfinn Børseth kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Kristen Flem acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 4th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sindre Hagberg. Henrik Buvik struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Kristen Flem didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rekvik. In the 11th minute, Cato Brunborg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kristen Flem. The goal made the score 1-0. Henrik Buvik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cato Brunborg in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kristen Flem saved Trønderlag Vikings from getting behind. Cato Brunborg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristen Flem having to interfere. A collision led to Rekvik getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Snorre Rakvåg hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Trønderlag Vikings's goalkeeper Kristen Flem, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cato Brunborg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Cato Brunborg put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Kristen Flem. 41 minutes into the match, Rekvik's Henrik Buvik sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kristen Flem narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Daniel Sellæg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ståle Ervik was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 47 minutes into the match, Trønderlag Vikings's Daniel Sellæg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ståle Ervik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henrik Buvik during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Rekvik getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Henrik Buvik hit a great ball. Kristen Flem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cato Brunborg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 61 minutes, Carl-Rune Furulund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trønderlag Vikings and the Rekvik players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rekvik's Snorre Rakvåg got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 69 played minutes Trønderlag Vikings got a freekick which was hit by Erik Schanche. In the 70th minute, Sindre Hagberg sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Trønderlag Vikings's Kristen Flem didn't even have to move. If Cato Brunborg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Sellæg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ståle Ervik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Alex Ophus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ståle Ervik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Sellæg, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Cato Brunborg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristen Flem having to interfere. When Sindre Hagberg fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rekvik's protests and gave Sindre Hagberg a yellow card for diving instead. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rekvik! Ståle Ervik had in the 97thth minute some difficulties stopping Jonathan Følstad's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Rekvik had played much better football throughout.
