In the 6th minute Leon Østerhus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bendik Jama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruben Karlson during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th minute, Ruben Karlson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eirik Jelstad hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Bendik Jama showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikkel Bremnes, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mikkel Bremnes to make the kick off. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Russehamn BF booed when BARCELONA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position.
