In the 7th minute of the match Jeppe Juvik shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Selle showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kasper Godø got free with Hans Reppe in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 13 minutes into the match, Bolga FF's goal looked a bit too open when Odin Lid came free, but Martin Selle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Kasper Godø kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hans Reppe. That made the score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 17 minutes into the game, when Kristoffer Tobiassen put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, Bolga FF's Kristoffer Tobiassen got a free kick in the 18th minute. Bolga FF's Martin Selle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glenn Wahlstrøm in the 19th minute of play. In the 26th minute Jørgen Irgens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Selle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Kasper Godø came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Bolga FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kasper Godø couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute, Odin Lid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Vindic booed when Bolga FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Eknes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thomas Stormyr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Selle having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jørgen Irgens in the 42nd minute of play forced Bolga FF's goalkeeper Martin Selle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kasper Godø struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Hans Reppe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bolga FF. Thomas Stormyr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Martin Selle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Vindic's Helge Friestad got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 67 minutes into the game, Helge Friestad recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Martin Selle. Helge Friestad showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. If Thomas Stormyr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Selle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jørgen Irgens went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Jørgen Irgens blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martin Selle having to make a save.
