Christer Thøgersen kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Steinar Garvik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernt Balstad in the 5th minute of play. Brann's Bernt Balstad got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernt Balstad blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Steinar Garvik having to make a save. Steinar Garvik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernt Balstad in the 12th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Idar Bjørnsen during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Idar Bjørnsen hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. When Brann's Bernt Balstad in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye 4Ever United's goalie prevented a goal. When Odd-Eirik Kavli came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Brann fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Odd-Eirik Kavli couldn't finish the play. Aleksander Andresen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Tormod Folland skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Aleksander Andresen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tormod Folland having to interfere. Christer Thøgersen hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Bernt Balstad blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Steinar Garvik having to make a save. Odd-Eirik Kavli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steinar Garvik having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Odd-Eirik Kavli in the 41st minute of play forced 4Ever United's goalkeeper Steinar Garvik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Bernt Balstad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Steinar Garvik was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. In the 43rd match minute, Brann was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kent-Are Høgli to maneuver through the defense. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christian Ulleberg made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Brann's Bernt Balstad ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Steinar Garvik. Steinar Garvik yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. 62 minutes into the match, 4Ever United's goal looked a bit too open when Bernt Balstad came free, but Steinar Garvik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Ulleberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Odd-Eirik Kavli scored 0-2 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Steinar Garvik, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 79thth minute of the game Bernt Balstad who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 4Ever United's Steinar Garvik was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, 4Ever United's Felix Fleischer got a free kick in the 80th minute. After 82nd play minutes Bernt Balstad shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Steinar Garvik and just under the crossbar into goal. Steinar Garvik didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Odd-Eirik Kavli went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Brann's Gustav Meier got a free kick in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute of the match Lars Langeland shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tormod Folland showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Brann eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
