The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Segalstad BF's Samuel Kjærstad got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Kenneth Elstad made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Christoffer Nordhaug sent off a good shot on target. Severin Tjøsvoll sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 13th minute Thomas Selle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenneth Elstad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stefan Kolle hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Bjørn Anti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Narjordet IF's Kenneth Elstad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Kjærstad in the 19th minute of play. Severin Tjøsvoll fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gjermund Sundseth having to interfere. Jakob Pedersen's late challenge caught a Narjordet IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jakob Pedersen helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes Segalstad BF got a freekick which was hit by Jakob Pedersen. Bjørn Anti scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gjermund Sundseth, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Severin Tjøsvoll managed to get in a good position for a shot. Narjordet IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Severin Tjøsvoll was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gjermund Sundseth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gjermund Sundseth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bjørn Anti, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute Severin Tjøsvoll shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gjermund Sundseth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Segalstad BF's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Kolle came free, but Gjermund Sundseth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stefan Kolle hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Gjermund Sundseth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severin Tjøsvoll, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bjørn Anti in the 49th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gjermund Sundseth saved Segalstad BF from getting behind. The Segalstad BF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Narjordet IF were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thomas Selle was the one to do the kick off. After 55 minutes of play, Segalstad BF's Thomas Selle made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kenneth Elstad was left in no man's land by his defense there! 62 minutes into the match, Severin Tjøsvoll had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gjermund Sundseth. Segalstad BF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Severin Tjøsvoll was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Narjordet IF's Kenneth Elstad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christoffer Nordhaug in the 66th minute of play. Segalstad BF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Severin Tjøsvoll scored to the left of an out of position Gjermund Sundseth, making the score, 1-3. Severin Tjøsvoll struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Gjermund Sundseth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Narjordet IF. Bjørn Anti's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gjermund Sundseth firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Bjørn Anti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Narjordet IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Bjørn Anti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gjermund Sundseth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Segalstad BF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Narjordet IF the free kick. The supporters of Narjordet IF booed when Segalstad BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eilif Strømstad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Narjordet IF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
