Seljeli IF's Bastian Lindquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Skinstad in the 5th minute of play. Ken Skogli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mikael Joakimsen in the 9th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Team Sandsmark's goal looked a bit too open when Stig Klev came free, but Ken Skogli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Idsø's late challenge caught a Seljeli IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan Idsø helped the player get up and apologised. Jan Idsø kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Seljeli IF defense, Josef Hellevik kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bastian Lindquist. The Seljeli IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bastian Lindquist should have stopped the shot. Bastian Lindquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Risan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Egil Sagen's late challenge caught a Team Sandsmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Egil Sagen helped the player get up and apologised. Egil Sagen kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Seljeli IF's Egil Sagen got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 40 minutes into the match, Dag Skage notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Seljeli IF's Bastian Lindquist. Bastian Lindquist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 45th minute, Olav Heggen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Dag Skage made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Seljeli IF's Stig Klev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ken Skogli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Peter Risan's late challenge caught a Seljeli IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. In the 69th minute, Team Sandsmark's Dag Skage dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Ken Skogli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig Klev in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th match minute, Seljeli IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bjarte Gjersøe to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig Klev in the 78th minute of play forced Team Sandsmark's goalkeeper Ken Skogli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Team Sandsmark's goalkeeper Ken Skogli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Stig Klev struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Ken Skogli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Seljeli IF. If Mikael Joakimsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stig Klev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ken Skogli having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Team Sandsmark's Lars Skinstad slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bastian Lindquist. That made the score 1-4 after 92 minutes of play. In the 95th match minute, Team Sandsmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars Skinstad to maneuver through the defense. Peter Risan kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. When the match was over Team Sandsmark could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Seljeli IF throughout the match.
