Eskil Ranum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Sverre Holmberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Båtsfjord's supporters rose to their feet, but Sverre Holmberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jesper Larsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 9th minute Jon Bakke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Halvard Mannes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sverre Holmberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Jesper Larsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Aremark IF's Arild Nyheim got a free kick in the 12th minute. Jesper Larsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sverre Holmberg's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. When Jens Lyngvær fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aremark IF's protests and gave Jens Lyngvær a yellow card for diving instead. Jens Lyngvær kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Sverre Holmberg's late challenge caught a Aremark IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sverre Holmberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th minute, Sverre Holmberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon Bakke in the 23rd minute of play forced Båtsfjord's goalkeeper Halvard Mannes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute of the match, Fabian Muren tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Halvard Mannes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Halvard Mannes made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Georg Moseid sent off a good shot on target. Halvard Mannes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jon Bakke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Halvard Mannes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Muren in the 27th minute of the match. With a little luck, Båtsfjord's Halvard Mannes got control of the ball when Georg Moseid tried to sneak it across the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Båtsfjord's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Muren came free, but Halvard Mannes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Sverre Holmberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robert Langlo hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Jesper Larsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sverre Holmberg's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. If Didrik Ahlsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jens Lyngvær recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Jon Bakke took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Halvard Mannes to make any attempt to save it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sverre Holmberg to strike the kick off in the second half. If Ole Hennum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Halvard Mannes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Georg Moseid in the 55th minute of play. Båtsfjord's Sverre Holmberg got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jesper Larsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sverre Holmberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ole Hennum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aremark IF's goalkeeper Jesper Larsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aremark IF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Sverre Holmberg scored to the left of an out of position Jesper Larsen, making the score, 1-1. 76 minutes into the game, Georg Moseid cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Halvard Mannes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 82 minutes into the match, Båtsfjord's goal looked a bit too open when Georg Moseid came free, but Halvard Mannes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Didrik Ahlsen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aremark IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. When Sverre Holmberg came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Båtsfjord fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sverre Holmberg couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Didrik Ahlsen sped through Båtsfjord's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Halvard Mannes. When Sverre Holmberg came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Båtsfjord fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sverre Holmberg couldn't finish the play. Båtsfjord's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
