Våsjø's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emil Erlandsen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Gard Langåker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Sørgård in the 10th minute of the match. When Våsjø's Andreas Sørgård in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gard Langåker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gard Langåker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andreas Sørgård's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Andreas Sørgård received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Gard Langåker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henrik Pladsen made in the 40th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Tor-Henrik Aschim however managed to control. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Rune Grødem's late challenge caught a Liverpool jz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rune Grødem helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th match minute, Våsjø was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rune Grødem to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Sørgård in the 56th minute of play forced Liverpool jz's goalkeeper Gard Langåker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Halvard Hoff got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tor-Henrik Aschim kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Halvard Hoff left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Våsjø fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. When the match was over Våsjø could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Liverpool jz throughout the match.
