In the 7th minute there was a penalty for Ankenes BK. Tore-Andre Tømmervik stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Andreas Høyvik. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicholas Takle in the 13th minute of play forced Karnes IL's goalkeeper Andreas Høyvik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andreas Høyvik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicholas Takle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, Ankenes BK's goalkeeper Jarle Brenna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erland Aurstad. In the 18th match minute, Ankenes BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sture Mæhle to maneuver through the defense. After 21 played minutes Ankenes BK got a freekick which was hit by Hans Søderholm. The supporters of Karnes IL booed when Ankenes BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Søderholm didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Nicholas Takle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andreas Høyvik. Karnes IL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicholas Takle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Nicholas Takle struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Andreas Høyvik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ankenes BK. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of Karnes IL:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ankenes BK:s goal. Karnes IL's Andreas Høyvik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Søderholm in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Erland Aurstad made a precise shot to the right of Jarle Brenna. Ankenes BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicholas Takle made a kick off. Nicholas Takle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Høyvik having to interfere. Karnes IL's Andreas Høyvik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Karnes IL from getting a goal against them. Hans Søderholm charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hans Søderholm the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Ankenes BK's Hans Søderholm got a free kick in the 60th minute. The audience was convinced that Erland Aurstad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jarle Brenna was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Julian Naustdal charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julian Naustdal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 70 played minutes Ankenes BK got a freekick which was hit by Julian Naustdal. In the 77th minute Nicholas Takle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Høyvik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andreas Høyvik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicholas Takle in the 84th minute of the match. Andreas Høyvik was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nicholas Takle showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 88 minute of play. Hans Søderholm took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andreas Høyvik. Andreas Høyvik dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ankenes BK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
