Dromnes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Snorre Bones was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The throw-in from Egil Alnes in the 18th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Dromnes's Tom Vågenes. Kai Minge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Røhne, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 29 minutes into the match, Dromnes's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Røhne came free, but Kai Minge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Fabian Røhne took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Kai Minge to make any attempt to save it. When Tom Vågenes fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dromnes's protests and gave Tom Vågenes a yellow card for diving instead. Tom Vågenes hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Eilif Henden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Are Slåtten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kai Minge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Røhne in the 42nd minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Dromnes's Kai Minge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjetil-André Robertsen in the 55th minute of play. Fabian Røhne scored 4-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kai Minge, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 61st match minute, Dromnes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom Vågenes to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torgeir Ånestad in the 62nd minute of play forced Dromnes's goalkeeper Kai Minge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kai Minge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tore Robertsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
