Spectators: 7534 (Terracing: 5652, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) Jan-Arne Antonsen made the kick off and thus started the match. When Even Strøm came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Ku Klux Klan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Even Strøm couldn't finish the play. In the 11th minute of the match Felix Hatlestad sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tor-Magnus Olden skillfully saved the ball. Erik Bjørnstad kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 23rd match minute, Ku Klux Klan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torkel Vikse to maneuver through the defense. Patrik Nesland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patrik Nesland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Eilert Brænden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Solejem IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Eilert Brænden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tor-Magnus Olden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrik Nesland in the 44th minute of play forced Ku Klux Klan's goalkeeper Tor-Magnus Olden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute Patrik Nesland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tor-Magnus Olden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Solejem IF were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patrik Nesland stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Trond Skogen during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Solejem IF getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Trond Skogen hit a great ball. If Henning Løvik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tor-Magnus Olden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrik Nesland in the 58th minute of play. Solejem IF's Bent Hermansen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Arne Antonsen in the 60th minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Finn Eek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tor-Magnus Olden. Ku Klux Klan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Finn Eek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Eilert Brænden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tor-Magnus Olden having to interfere. Eilert Brænden succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 72nd playminute. After having played for 80 minutes, Even Strøm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ku Klux Klan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Even Strøm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Arne Antonsen in the 82nd minute of play forced Solejem IF's goalkeeper Bent Hermansen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Ku Klux Klan's Even Strøm nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bent Hermansen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Even Strøm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eilert Brænden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Tor-Magnus Olden made a huge save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Solejem IF eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
