Dual Monkeys's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 42nd minute of the game, when Martin Tangerud after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Saltvik's goal. Martin Tangerud was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. The supporters of Dual Monkeys booed when Saltvik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bård Bryne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nils Skauge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rune Andresen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Saltvik booed when Dual Monkeys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ådne Sommerstad didn't get a good kick on the ball.

53 minutes into the match, Alf Kristiansen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nils Skauge. Dual Monkeys's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alf Kristiansen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 56th minute Rune Andresen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils Skauge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nils Skauge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rune Andresen in the 58th minute of play. Nils Skauge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alf Kristiansen in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Kristiansen in the 64th minute of play forced Dual Monkeys's goalkeeper Nils Skauge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nils Skauge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rune Andresen, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. If Ådne Sommerstad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alf Kristiansen got free with Nils Skauge in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dual Monkeys's Nils Skauge proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Dual Monkeys from getting a goal against them. Alf Kristiansen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Saltvik supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Saltvik would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
