In the 9th minute, Sven Holte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Amdal's Sander Nyquist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joachim Rolland narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Sven Holte sped through Ranheim IL's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joachim Rolland. After a rather tough play, Amdal's Jon Johansson got a free kick in the 14th minute. If Fredrik Moberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ranheim IL's Søren Frøseth got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oscar Tangerud kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Joachim Rolland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sander Nyquist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Sander Nyquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Ranheim IL's goal looked a bit too open when Sander Nyquist came free, but Joachim Rolland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven Holte hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Søren Frøseth was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Amdal's Sander Nyquist stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Joachim Rolland stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Ranheim IL of the goal. When Sander Nyquist came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Amdal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sander Nyquist couldn't finish the play. Jon Johansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sander Nyquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Hans-Erik Holst fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ranheim IL's protests and gave Hans-Erik Holst a yellow card for diving instead. Sander Nyquist kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Amdal's Henrik Haugum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Søren Frøseth in the 72nd minute of play. Joachim Rolland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sander Nyquist, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ranheim IL's zone, Sven Holte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joachim Rolland came out of the goal and Sven Holte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hans-Erik Holst got his second yellow card in the match during the 86th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Ranheim IL's Hans-Erik Holst got a free kick in the 87th minute. The Amdal supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Amdal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
