The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Svend Evju in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bjørn Sommerseth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alfred Buvik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FC Larvik booed when Gliddi BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Birk Linge didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bjørn Sommerseth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfred Buvik, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfred Buvik in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bjørn Sommerseth saved FC Larvik from getting behind. Svend Evju blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bjørn Sommerseth having to make a save. 43 minutes into the match, FC Larvik's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Buvik came free, but Bjørn Sommerseth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Audun Arntsen kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Hauk Lein could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Jonathan Jama made a huge save. Audun Arntsen hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. In the 48th minute of the match Håvard Birkenes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Jama skillfully saved the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Svend Evju was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Hauk Lein was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Larvik's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gliddi BF the free kick. After 56 played minutes FC Larvik got a freekick which was hit by Hauk Lein. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Svend Evju in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bjørn Sommerseth saved FC Larvik from getting behind. 61 minutes into the match, Alfred Buvik had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bjørn Sommerseth. FC Larvik's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfred Buvik was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Leif Simensen kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, FC Larvik's goal looked a bit too open when Svend Evju came free, but Bjørn Sommerseth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bjørn Sommerseth stood somewhat misplaced when Svend Evju came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 70 minute. Magnus Vindenes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Jonathan Jama tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute Hauk Lein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Jama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Svend Evju received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Bjørn Sommerseth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Leif Simensen fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Larvik's protests and gave Leif Simensen a yellow card for diving instead. After 85 played minutes, Gliddi BF's Birk Linge shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bjørn Sommerseth came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gliddi BF reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfred Buvik got free with Bjørn Sommerseth in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to FC Larvik getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Hauk Lein hit a great ball. Alfred Buvik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
