Lasse Kjørstad blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Truls Ringheim having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Odd-Eirik Aase in the 6th minute of play forced Værøy IL's goalkeeper Truls Ringheim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Porsgrund's Marius Haddal got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marius Haddal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Værøy IL's Truls Ringheim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lasse Kjørstad in the 15th minute of play. Odd-Eirik Aase fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Truls Ringheim having to interfere. Bastian Winger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Marius Haddal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th match minute, Værøy IL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Frantzen to maneuver through the defense. Truls Ringheim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lasse Kjørstad, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Odd-Eirik Aase received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Truls Ringheim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Truls Ringheim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odd-Eirik Aase in the 40th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lasse Kjørstad in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Truls Ringheim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Værøy IL's Truls Ringheim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lasse Kjørstad in the 42nd minute of play. Truls Ringheim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Odd-Eirik Aase in the 44th minute of the match. In the 48th minute Lasse Kjørstad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Truls Ringheim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Truls Ringheim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odd-Eirik Aase in the 65th minute of play. Edgard Bentzen kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Værøy IL's goal looked a bit too open when Odd-Eirik Aase came free, but Truls Ringheim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Porsgrund booed when Værøy IL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Bentzen didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Odd-Eirik Aase in the 84th minute of play forced Værøy IL's goalkeeper Truls Ringheim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Johannes Borgersen notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Porsgrund's Fredrik Malvik. Fredrik Malvik was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lasse Kjørstad who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Truls Ringheim when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Odd-Eirik Aase's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Truls Ringheim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. With a little luck, Værøy IL's Truls Ringheim got control of the ball when Lasse Kjørstad tried to sneak it across the goal line. Truls Ringheim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Odd-Eirik Aase in the 92nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Odd-Eirik Aase managed to get in a good position for a shot. Porsgrund's supporters rose to their feet, but Odd-Eirik Aase was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Truls Ringheim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Værøy IL's Edgard Bentzen got a free kick in the 95th minute. Truls Ringheim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odd-Eirik Aase in the 96th minute of play.
