In the 6thth minute of the game Christoffer Nystrøm who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Værøy IL's Truls Ringheim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Værøy IL getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Jørund Førde hit a great ball. Truls Ringheim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christoffer Nystrøm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute Bastian Winger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tor Mæhle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Johannes Borgersen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tor Mæhle. Træff's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Johannes Borgersen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christoffer Nystrøm in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Truls Ringheim saved Værøy IL from getting behind. If Christoffer Nystrøm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sebastian Høgås took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Truls Ringheim. Værøy IL's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 31st minute, Anders Nordås got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Træff booed when Værøy IL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bastian Winger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Truls Ringheim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hans-Petter Aaby in the 44th minute. Joachim Nystuen's late challenge caught a Værøy IL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joachim Nystuen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th match minute, Træff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joachim Nystuen to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Johannes Borgersen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Værøy IL's supporters rose to their feet, but Johannes Borgersen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tor Mæhle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christoffer Nystrøm made a kick off. In the 51st minute Christoffer Nystrøm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Truls Ringheim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anders Nordås received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Truls Ringheim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Truls Ringheim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christoffer Nystrøm's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. When Edgard Bentzen fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Værøy IL's protests and gave Edgard Bentzen a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Værøy IL getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Edgard Bentzen hit a great ball. When Anders Nordås came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Træff fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anders Nordås couldn't finish the play. Christoffer Nystrøm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Anders Nordås had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgard Bentzen kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Anders Nordås put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Truls Ringheim. Jon Myrdal hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christoffer Nystrøm in the 76th minute of play forced Værøy IL's goalkeeper Truls Ringheim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 78 minutes, Anders Nordås managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Træff's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anders Nordås was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christoffer Nystrøm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Truls Ringheim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Værøy IL's zone, Anders Nordås stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Truls Ringheim came out of the goal and Anders Nordås tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 85 minutes of play, Træff's Anders Nordås made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Truls Ringheim was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Christoffer Nystrøm in the 92nd minute of play forced Værøy IL's goalkeeper Truls Ringheim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Frantzen kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After having played for 93 minutes, Christoffer Nystrøm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Træff's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christoffer Nystrøm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Træff's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
