After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Odd-Eirik Paus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lerviken's supporters rose to their feet, but Odd-Eirik Paus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Segundo Gartzea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mike Uyttebroeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Finn-Christian Skauge having to interfere. Finn-Christian Skauge was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mike Uyttebroeck showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 15 minute of play. Finn-Christian Skauge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mike Uyttebroeck in the 18th minute of play. Fredrikstad FK's Segundo Gartzea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristoffer Ringstad in the 20th minute of play. Finn-Christian Skauge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mike Uyttebroeck in the 22nd minute of the match. After having played for 23 minutes, Mike Uyttebroeck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fredrikstad FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mike Uyttebroeck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Lerviken getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Eric Ulvik hit a great ball. Finn-Christian Skauge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mike Uyttebroeck in the 26th minute of play. After 28 played minutes Lerviken got a freekick which was hit by Runar Tønnesen. Segundo Gartzea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristoffer Ringstad in the 30th minute of play. Rasmus Heggheim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Finn-Christian Skauge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Mike Uyttebroeck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Finn-Christian Skauge was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Segundo Gartzea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Runar Tønnesen in the 35th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Odd-Eirik Paus in the 45th minute of play forced Fredrikstad FK's goalkeeper Segundo Gartzea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Odd-Eirik Paus got free with Segundo Gartzea in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mike Uyttebroeck in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Finn-Christian Skauge prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Lerviken getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Runar Tønnesen hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, Lerviken's goal looked a bit too open when Mike Uyttebroeck came free, but Finn-Christian Skauge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erlend Utvik lost his temper 65 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 64 minutes into the game, one of Fredrikstad FK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 67th minute there was a penalty for Lerviken. Bjarne Jørstad stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Segundo Gartzea. 1-2. Robert Stokkeland struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Finn-Christian Skauge didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fredrikstad FK. If Robert Stokkeland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Finn-Christian Skauge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rasmus Heggheim, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Fredrikstad FK's Segundo Gartzea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Fredrikstad FK from getting a goal against them. In the 79th minute, Ole-Gunnar Gaup hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rasmus Heggheim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Lerviken defense, Robert Stokkeland kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Finn-Christian Skauge. The Lerviken fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Finn-Christian Skauge should have stopped the shot. When Jesper Tafjord came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Fredrikstad FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jesper Tafjord couldn't finish the play. The corner ended in Yngve Aakre almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lerviken's Finn-Christian Skauge did a great save. Odd-Eirik Paus kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Fredrikstad FK were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
