Jonathan Jordet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Hole having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hagavollen's Ingar Kallevik got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute, Jonathan Jordet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 26 played minutes, Hagavollen's Jarle Myhr shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lars Almaas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hagavollen reached it. With 30 minutes on the clock, Kim-André Aasland commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hagavollen! 35 minutes into the match, Hagavollen's goalkeeper Paul Hole had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johannes Seglem. Lars Almaas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christoffer Kalland, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Christoffer Kalland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hagavollen's supporters rose to their feet, but Christoffer Kalland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lars Almaas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christoffer Kalland to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes Seglem in the 53rd minute of play forced Hagavollen's goalkeeper Paul Hole to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hagavollen's Ingar Kallevik got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Hagavollen getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Sivert Olaisen hit a great ball. Christoffer Kalland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Lars Almaas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christoffer Kalland scored 2-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lars Almaas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Christoffer Kalland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Lars Almaas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Hagavollen getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Jesper Lindal hit a great ball. If Christoffer Kalland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Markus Westlie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Jordet took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paul Hole. Paul Hole dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Åsmund Turøy struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Paul Hole didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mercantile SFK. Mercantile SFK's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
