After recieving a nice pass, Haugli's Oddvar Førde tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 7 minutes into the match, Zalgiris's goal looked a bit too open when Stig Eik came free, but Jon-Arne Sørdal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th match minute, Zalgiris was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Espen Bugten to maneuver through the defense. Samuel Blystad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute Stig Eik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jon-Arne Sørdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hans Fuglestad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Zalgiris's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Fuglestad came free, but Jon-Arne Sørdal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sivert Hervik charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sivert Hervik the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Zalgiris's Sivert Hervik got a free kick in the 41st minute. Haugli's Rune Gustavson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egil Tvete in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Blystad in the 80th minute of play forced Haugli's goalkeeper Rune Gustavson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hans Fuglestad kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After having played for 91 minutes, Egil Tvete managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zalgiris's supporters crossed their fingers, but Egil Tvete was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 0-1 became the score in the 96th minute when Stig Eik elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Haugli walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
