In the 24th minute, one of Gissenås BF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gissenås BF. Jim Sundt shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Nicasio Tiso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 29 minutes, Trond Nesheim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vasstrand's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trond Nesheim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gissenås BF's Erik Roe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicasio Tiso in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olaf Kristiansen in the 39th minute of play forced Vasstrand's goalkeeper Martin Fuglestad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Vasstrand fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Vasstrand's Trond Nesheim looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
