In a very dangerous position, a player in Zalgiris fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 14th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Perzon boyz a penalty, 15 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jan-Kenneth Riiser, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Zalgiris's Jon-Arne Sørdal. 1-1. After having played for 29 minutes, Egil Tvete managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zalgiris's supporters crossed their fingers, but Egil Tvete was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anders Varhaug took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jon-Arne Sørdal. Jon-Arne Sørdal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After having played for 41 minutes, Tor-Egil Nedregård managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jon-Arne Sørdal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tor-Egil Nedregård in the 44th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tor-Egil Nedregård to make the kick off. Samuel Blystad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After 69 minutes of play, Zalgiris's Egil Tvete made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Trond Lindholm was left in no man's land by his defense there! 74 minutes into the match, Perzon boyz's Tor-Egil Nedregård sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jon-Arne Sørdal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Trond Lindholm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Blystad in the 76th minute of the match. Trond Lindholm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sivert Hervik in the 82nd minute of play. Tor-Egil Nedregård received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jon-Arne Sørdal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jon-Arne Sørdal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tor-Egil Nedregård in the 94th minute. Zalgiris's Jon-Arne Sørdal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Zalgiris from getting a goal against them. If Nils-Christian Overå had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Perzon boyz were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
