To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Birger Buan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ådne Mork in the 26th minute of play forced BYRMGLN's goalkeeper Odin Belsvik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Birger Buan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Odin Belsvik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Odin Belsvik was a little too slow when Ådne Mork got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 1-1. When Jørn Grønbech fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Ådne Mork might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Odin Belsvik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ådne Mork ran back to his position shaking his head. Birger Buan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Odin Belsvik made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Birger Buan sent off a good shot on target. Birger Buan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Odin Belsvik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ådne Mork made a kick off. Even Mæland came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alexander Lindal could save by the left post. In the 58th minute Erik Linge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Lindal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Erik Linge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Odin Belsvik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ådne Mork, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexander Lindal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Linge, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. The BYRMGLN supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing BYRMGLN would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
