After 8 played minutes Nyby Pirates got a freekick which was hit by Jo Ovesen. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geir Ryan in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Einar Meier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 16th minute, Geir Ryan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Nyby Pirates's Carl-Rune Rongved got a free kick in the 19th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geir Ryan in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Einar Meier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ole-Petter Koch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Børge Bjørnerud in the 23rd minute of the match. Cent Årvik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ophus's Geir Ryan in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nyby Pirates's goalie prevented a goal. The referee showed Carl-Rune Rongved the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carl-Rune Rongved hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 36th match minute, Nyby Pirates was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Lehne to maneuver through the defense. Einar Meier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geir Ryan in the 38th minute of play. Krister Opheim kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. A collision led to Ophus getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Krister Opheim hit a great ball. After the first half Ophus were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Cent Årvik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Einar Meier managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Ophus's Geir Ryan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Abraham Koppang took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Einar Meier. Einar Meier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Einar Meier was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Geir Ryan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 62 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Geir Ryan put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Einar Meier. Geir Ryans short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Einar Meier to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 73 minutes into the game, Jo Ovesen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nyby Pirates's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ophus the free kick. Abraham Koppang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Einar Meier made a huge save. Abraham Koppang took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Einar Meier. Einar Meier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Nyby Pirates's goalkeeper Einar Meier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ophus's Cent Årvik got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85th match minute, Nyby Pirates was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carl-Rune Rongved to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 87 minutes, Geir Ryan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ophus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geir Ryan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ophus's Cent Årvik got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Geir Ryan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Einar Meier. The goal made the score 0-6. The Nyby Pirates fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ophus were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
