In the 26th minute, Arild Kjelsberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iskra Narzym's Hans Gleditsch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petter Grønstad in the 30th minute of play. If Emil Andresen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute Ove Martinsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Morten Markussen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hans Gleditsch was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Petter Grønstad showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 43 minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Andresen in the 68th minute of play forced Karlstad's goalkeeper Morten Markussen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Arild Kjelsberg came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Karlstad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arild Kjelsberg couldn't finish the play. Karlstad's Morten Markussen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Karlstad from getting a goal against them. Ove Martinsen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Morten Markussen made a huge save. Morten Markussen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Andresen, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
