When Audun Bjørgan fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Team High-Definition's protests and gave Audun Bjørgan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10thth minute of the game Arve Grønvold who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Team High-Definition's Harald Kvåle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vidar Storeide got free with Harald Kvåle in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Rosenborg United's zone, Arild Oen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magnus Nysveen came out of the goal and Arild Oen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeppe Astrup struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Magnus Nysveen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Team High-Definition. Magnus Nysveen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arild Oen went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Vidar Storeide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jeppe Astrup had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeppe Astrup in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Magnus Nysveen saved Rosenborg United from getting behind. Rosenborg United's Vidar Storeide got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 47th minute Arild Oen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magnus Nysveen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jeppe Astrup stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Magnus Nysveen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeppe Astrup in the 53rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Alfred Carlsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. A collision led to Team High-Definition getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Audun Bjørgan hit a great ball. Team High-Definition's Harald Kvåle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arve Grønvold in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rosenborg United's zone, Arild Oen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magnus Nysveen came out of the goal and Arild Oen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arve Grønvold in the 86th minute of play forced Team High-Definition's goalkeeper Harald Kvåle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Rosenborg United's Magnus Nysveen got control of the ball when Arild Oen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vidar Storeide received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Harald Kvåle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harald Kvåle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arve Grønvold in the 96th minute of the match. Team High-Definition's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
