After a rather tough play, Rosenborg United's Alfred Carlsson got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Magnus Nysveen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rolf Finne went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Stian Eng's late challenge caught a Rosenborg United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stian Eng helped the player get up and apologised. After 11 played minutes Rosenborg United got a freekick which was hit by Carl-Rune Kjeldsen. Magnus Nysveen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Rong in the 14th minute of the match. Barkåker FF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Arve Grønvold scored to the left of an out of position Edvard Hadland, making the score, 1-1. Rolf Finne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magnus Nysveen having to interfere. In the 21st match minute, Rosenborg United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfred Carlsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute of the match Patrik Skåre sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Magnus Nysveen skillfully saved the ball. If Samuel Rong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 played minutes, Barkåker FF's Patrik Skåre shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Magnus Nysveen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barkåker FF reached it. Magnus Nysveen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Rong in the 40th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Arve Grønvold got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Samuel Rong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Barkåker FF were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Arve Grønvold made the kick off in the second half. Rolf Finne blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Magnus Nysveen having to make a save. If Rolf Finne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Magnus Nysveen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Rong in the 60th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rolf Finne got free with Magnus Nysveen in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Barkåker FF's Patrik Skåre got a free kick in the 66th minute. Magnus Nysveen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Rong in the 69th minute of play. Patrik Skåre lost his temper 71 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 71 minutes into the game, one of Barkåker FF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Arve Grønvold might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edvard Hadland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arve Grønvold ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Rosenborg United's zone, Rolf Finne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magnus Nysveen came out of the goal and Rolf Finne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rolf Finne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magnus Nysveen having to interfere. Rolf Finne kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
