Espen Svensli was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 5th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Jeppe Astrup sped through Karlstad's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Morten Markussen. The supporters of Team High-Definition booed when Karlstad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Are Ekerhovd didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Petter Grønstad came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Karlstad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petter Grønstad couldn't finish the play. In the 19th match minute, Karlstad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arild Kjelsberg to maneuver through the defense. Audun Bjørgan charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Audun Bjørgan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd minute, Audun Bjørgan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petter Grønstad in the 27th minute of play forced Team High-Definition's goalkeeper Harald Kvåle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karlstad's Petter Grønstad got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 30 minutes of play, Karlstad's Arild Kjelsberg made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harald Kvåle was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Petter Grønstad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Morten Markussen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arild Oen, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. When Jeppe Astrup came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Team High-Definition fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeppe Astrup couldn't finish the play. Morten Markussen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arild Oen's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. In the 46th minute, Severin Danielsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Arild Oen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Petter Grønstad to strike the kick off in the second half. Arild Oen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Morten Markussen having to interfere. If Petter Grønstad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arild Kjelsberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute Arild Kjelsberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harald Kvåle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Team High-Definition's Jeppe Astrup dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. If Arild Kjelsberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Audun Bjørgan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Morten Markussen having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Team High-Definition's zone, Arild Kjelsberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harald Kvåle came out of the goal and Arild Kjelsberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 97 played minutes Karlstad got a freekick which was hit by Gjermund Gulliksen. The Karlstad supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Team High-Definition's performance. The match ended with a win for Team High-Definition.
