Everyone was convinced a goal was close when BK Zlatan's Henrik Tonning in the 9th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Niklas Hopland was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Storhamar Fotball through an amazing save. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Storhamar Fotball! If Jon-Egil Monsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 15 played minutes Storhamar Fotball got a freekick which was hit by Arnt Solli. Henrik Tonning fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niklas Hopland having to interfere. In the 19th match minute, Storhamar Fotball was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sjur Skauen to maneuver through the defense. Ask Leistad, 20 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Storhamar Fotball's Arnt Solli got his second yellow card of the match in the 23rd minute. The referee ordered Arnt Solli off the ground. A collision led to Storhamar Fotball getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Arnt Solli hit a great ball. Niklas Hopland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrik Tonning in the 25th minute of the match. When BK Zlatan's Henrik Tonning in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Storhamar Fotball's goalie prevented a goal. After 41 played minutes Storhamar Fotball got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Thorgersen. Jon-Egil Monsen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Niklas Hopland read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Jon-Egil Monsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Henrik Tonning to strike the kick off in the second half. Sjur Skauen struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Kenneth Magnussen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Storhamar Fotball. After 58 minutes, Glenn Salomonsen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BK Zlatan and the Storhamar Fotball players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 58 played minutes BK Zlatan got a freekick which was hit by Glenn Salomonsen. Niklas Hopland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jon-Egil Monsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Kenneth Magnussen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sjur Skauen in the 63rd minute of play. Jon-Egil Monsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Henrik Tonning had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niklas Hopland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrik Tonning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jon-Egil Monsen struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Niklas Hopland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BK Zlatan. After having played for 85 minutes, Jon-Egil Monsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BK Zlatan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jon-Egil Monsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fredrik Westbye received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Kenneth Magnussen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jon-Egil Monsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kenneth Lindberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
