To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 20 minutes into the match, Gjermshus's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Grønning came free, but Johan Akselsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 23 in the game by Lasse Istad from a close distance when the talented Brede Hassel managed to make a qualified save. Kavåsen FF's players were relieved. A collision led to Gjermshus getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Halvdan Bye hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Anders Sandstad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brede Hassel was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Lasse Istad scored 4-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brede Hassel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 89thth minute of the game Stein-Roger Hauan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kavåsen FF's Brede Hassel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Stein-Roger Hauan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Gjermshus were the better team. Gjermshus's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
