Egil Aagaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asgeir Jonsson having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Daniel Oppedal fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Seth Robin, passed just outside the right post. When Orkla FK's Henrik Ringdal in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Light's goalie prevented a goal. Daniel Oppedal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Seth Robin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Egil Aagaard was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Henrik Ringdal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Orkla FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Daniel Ulvund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Nils-Johan Brenne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Egil Aagaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Daniel Oppedal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orkla FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Oppedal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Seth Robin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Egil Aagaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Oppedal struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Seth Robin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Orkla FK. Henrik Ringdal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Orkla FK booed when Light was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ole-Kristian Sandvær didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orkla FK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
