With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eilif Aakvik in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frode Storås saved Uppsala FC from getting behind. In the 46th minute, Eilif Aakvik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frode Storås was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when William Alvær stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Rasmus Gustad fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uppsala FC's protests and gave Rasmus Gustad a yellow card for diving instead. Frode Storås took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Alvær, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lars-Erik Rui got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Uppsala FC booed when Hvittingfoss was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars-Erik Rui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hvittingfoss's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 88th minute of the game, when William Alvær after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Uppsala FC's goal. William Alvær was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Morten Gjerde stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Balder Selmer's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. In the 93rd minute, Hvittingfoss's Kjetil Lauten seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kjetil Lauten the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hvittingfoss protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kjetil Lauten had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hvittingfoss fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! When the match was over Hvittingfoss could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Uppsala FC throughout the match.
