A collision led to Gissenås getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Tor-Ivar Aasebø hit a great ball. In the 5th minute of the match Frode Rekstad sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Vestby skillfully saved the ball. Thomas Dagestad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils Hatlestad having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Tor-Kristian Nord got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tor-Kristian Nord received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nils Hatlestad came out and tried to block the shot, but Tor-Kristian Nord slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Ørsta's goalkeeper Nils Hatlestad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thomas Dagestad. Lasse Sjøli kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. If Tor-Kristian Nord had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ole-Petter Arvesen hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tor-Kristian Nord in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nils Hatlestad prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 1-1 became the score in the 30th minute when Paul Bøhn elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ragnar Husby hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 36th match minute, Gissenås was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Are Åsheim to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Gissenås's zone, Paul Bøhn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Vestby came out of the goal and Paul Bøhn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nils Hatlestad made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thomas Dagestad in the 44th minute. Hans Vikan charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hans Vikan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paul Bøhn to strike the kick off in the second half. Ørsta's Nils Hatlestad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tor-Kristian Nord in the 52nd minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Ørsta's Paul Bøhn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniel Vestby narrowly saved just below the crossbar. From close distance Hans-Martin Hagenes pressed in the 1-2 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 62 minutes into the game. Hans-Martin Hagenes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Vestby having to make a save. After 66 played minutes Paul Bøhn rounded Gissenås's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. After 69 minutes, Sebastian Brattli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ørsta and the Gissenås players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 72 minutes, Thomas Dagestad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gissenås's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Dagestad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nils Hatlestad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Dagestad in the 76th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Tor-Kristian Nord managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gissenås's supporters rose to their feet, but Tor-Kristian Nord was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils Hatlestad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Gissenås's Karsten Malmin got a free kick in the 84th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Ørsta's Frode Rekstad sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniel Vestby narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thomas Dagestad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Nils Hatlestad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Are Åsheim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ørsta were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Gissenås's much stronger midfield.
