Nils Hatlestad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Espen Nordhus in the 4th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the game, one of Åndal:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Ørsta a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Frode Rekstad, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Åndal's Eskil Seljeseth. 0-1. Bernt Skogen took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nils Hatlestad. Nils Hatlestad dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Frode Rekstad placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Paul Bøhn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eskil Seljeseth having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Bernt Skogen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jarle Natås had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernt Skogen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Nils Hatlestad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eskil Seljeseth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans-Martin Hagenes in the 48th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 53rd minute, Gabriel Solbakken got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bjørnar Årseth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd match minute, Ørsta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Bøhn to maneuver through the defense. Ørsta's Nils Hatlestad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernt Skogen in the 64th minute of play. After 71 played minutes, Åndal's Hauk Slettum shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nils Hatlestad came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Nils Hatlestad was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 76 minutes into the match, Ørsta's goal looked a bit too open when Bernt Skogen came free, but Nils Hatlestad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nils Hatlestad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernt Skogen in the 88th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Bernt Skogen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Åndal's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernt Skogen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils Hatlestad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jarle Natås's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nils Hatlestad read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Åndal's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
