In the 4th minute, Thorbjørn Valstad ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reidar Levang was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Reidar Levang made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Sturle Foss sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Polarcirkel Wolverines booed when Overbygden FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iver Moseid didn't get a good kick on the ball. Polarcirkel Wolverines's Kim-André Olsen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kevin Tveiten in the 13 minute of the game. Sturle Foss's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Reidar Levang skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Reidar Levang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sturle Foss's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Kevin Tveiten made in the 20th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Polarcirkel Wolverines's Kim-André Olsen. 21 minutes into the match, Polarcirkel Wolverines's goalkeeper Reidar Levang had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Audun Lilletvedt. Audun Lilletvedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reidar Levang having to interfere. Reidar Levang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Audun Lilletvedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Erling Viken made a precise shot to the right of Niklas Aanes. Overbygden FF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the last second Reidar Levang throw himself and got hold of the ball when Sturle Foss in the 40thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The corner ended in Tommy Klæboe almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Polarcirkel Wolverines's Reidar Levang did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sturle Foss got free with Reidar Levang in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Tommy Klæboe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erling Viken to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Erling Viken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Storm Hilde got a throw-in 60 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Audun Lilletvedt. 61 minutes into the match, Sturle Foss notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Polarcirkel Wolverines's Reidar Levang. Reidar Levang was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alexander Hansen struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Reidar Levang didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Overbygden FF. Reidar Levang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sturle Foss's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Reidar Levang didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kevin Tveiten went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Sturle Foss's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reidar Levang was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. If Runar Elvebakk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 76th minute, Erling Viken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reidar Levang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sturle Foss in the 78th minute of play. In the 78th match minute, Polarcirkel Wolverines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kim-André Olsen to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes Polarcirkel Wolverines got a freekick which was hit by Erling Viken. In the 86th minute, Sturle Foss made a precise shot to the right of Reidar Levang. Polarcirkel Wolverines's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sturle Foss in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reidar Levang saved Polarcirkel Wolverines from getting behind. 95 minutes into the match, Alexander Hansen notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Polarcirkel Wolverines's Reidar Levang. Reidar Levang was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Overbygden FF fully deserved thier win.
