Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Morten Eidsvåg started the match with the kick off. Linus Smedsrud charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Linus Smedsrud the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Linus Smedsrud kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. When Tommy Ihlen came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Falkensten fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tommy Ihlen couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Falkensten booed when Vikavågen FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils Østli didn't get a good kick on the ball. 5 minutes into the match, Vikavågen FK's goal looked a bit too open when Marius Rosland came free, but Kjartan Fagervold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kjartan Fagervold took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Omholt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute of the match Falkensten got a corner. Vikavågen FK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jack Rolstad ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Falkensten's Jack Rolstad to fire away a dangerous shot which Kjartan Fagervold despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some careless play in the Vikavågen FK defense, Jack Rolstad kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kjartan Fagervold. The Vikavågen FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kjartan Fagervold should have stopped the shot. 14 minutes into the game, Christoffer Dagsland was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vikavågen FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Falkensten the free kick. Kjartan Fagervold made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marius Rosland in the 15th minute of play. Vikavågen FK's Kjartan Fagervold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Morten Eidsvåg in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to Falkensten getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Jack Rolstad hit a great ball. Kjartan Fagervold stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jack Rolstad's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. 25 minutes into the match, Morten Eidsvåg notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Vikavågen FK's Kjartan Fagervold. Kjartan Fagervold was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Falkensten booed when Vikavågen FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ludvig Frøland didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albert Omholt in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kjartan Fagervold saved Vikavågen FK from getting behind. Falkensten's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jack Rolstad in the 35th minute. Falkensten's Jack Rolstad was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kjartan Fagervold in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Kjartan Fagervold took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Omholt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eirik Langhelle struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Kristian Kvandal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vikavågen FK. 38 minutes into the game, Jack Rolstad was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Falkensten's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vikavågen FK the free kick. In the 38th minute, Jack Rolstad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vikavågen FK's Linus Smedsrud got his second yellow card of the match in the 42nd minute. The referee ordered Linus Smedsrud off the ground. In the 41st minute, one of Vikavågen FK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Vikavågen FK. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Birk Sollie was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 52 minutes into the match. The referee gave Vikavågen FK a penalty, 53 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Eirik Langhelle, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Falkensten's Kristian Kvandal. 1-3. The referee felt a red card was in order, 57 minutes into the game, when Eirik Langhelle put in a rough tackle. Eirik Langhelle kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Jack Rolstad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Kjartan Fagervold successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 61st minute of the match Falkensten got a corner. Vikavågen FK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jack Rolstad ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Jack Rolstad got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kjartan Fagervold quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Morten Eidsvåg in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kjartan Fagervold prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Christoffer Dagsland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vikavågen FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Christoffer Dagsland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kristian Kvandal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marius Rosland kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Vikavågen FK's Kjartan Fagervold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Omholt in the 68th minute of play. Kjartan Fagervold came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Falkensten's Jack Rolstad. But to his dismay, Jack Rolstad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Kjartan Fagervold made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Jack Rolstad sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Falkensten's Morten Eidsvåg got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 82nd minute Albert Omholt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjartan Fagervold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Omholt in the 84th minute of play forced Vikavågen FK's goalkeeper Kjartan Fagervold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Vikavågen FK's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Omholt came free, but Kjartan Fagervold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute, Albert Omholt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Falkensten fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. After 97 played minutes Vikavågen FK got a freekick which was hit by Eilif Lindås. The Falkensten supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Falkensten would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
