Thanks to some nice moves Dag Hauan could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which John Raa however easily saved by the left post. Henrik Hvidsten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pål Gamst having to interfere. In the 41st minute Valdemar Storsveen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pål Gamst saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valdemar Storsveen in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pål Gamst saved Sølvguttene from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Sølvguttene's Pål Gamst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar Storsveen in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute Morten Haavik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Raa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. John Raa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dag Hauan, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. John Raa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Morten Haavik in the 92nd minute of the match. Pål Gamst took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Halvdan Carlson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sølvguttene's Pål Gamst proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Sølvguttene from getting a goal against them. FC Verdiløse Menn's Valdemar Storsveen came free and shot a quick shot against goal 96 minutes in the game, fortunately Pål Gamst had problems saving as it came toward the left post.
