The referee felt a red card was in order, 6 minutes into the game, when Edvard Ågotnes put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of FK Grunnfjord:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sandstøl FC:s goal. In the 9th minute there was a penalty for Sandstøl FC. Frode Haraldstad stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Patrik Lysaker. 0-1. Adrian Bergsland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Halvor Melum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Sandstøl FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Remi Kofoed hit a great ball. Hans Johannesen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrik Lysaker having to interfere. In the 25th minute Øystein Seglem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrik Lysaker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sandstøl FC's Kjell Phan got a free kick in the 27th minute. Hans Johannesen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patrik Lysaker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Øystein Seglem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patrik Lysaker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans Johannesen in the 33rd minute of play. After 33 minutes, Hans Johannesen made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. FK Grunnfjord's Patrik Lysaker tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Patrik Lysaker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Øystein Seglem, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the match, FK Grunnfjord's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Johannesen came free, but Patrik Lysaker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Halvor Melum didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adrian Bergsland went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adrian Bergsland to strike the kick off in the second half. Patrik Lysaker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans Johannesen in the 53rd minute of the match. After having played for 54 minutes, Øystein Seglem managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sandstøl FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Øystein Seglem was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Øystein Seglem did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Patrik Lysaker 58 minutes into the match. Patrik Lysaker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans Johannesen in the 63rd minute of play. Øystein Seglem in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Patrik Lysaker, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 67 minutes into the match, FK Grunnfjord's goalkeeper Patrik Lysaker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Øystein Seglem. In the 69th minute, Sandstøl FC's Hans Johannesen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Patrik Lysaker. Patrik Lysaker yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. If Adrian Bergsland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Halvor Melum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Bergsland in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, FK Grunnfjord's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Johannesen came free, but Patrik Lysaker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Øystein Seglem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Halvor Melum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Bergsland in the 79th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hans Johannesen in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patrik Lysaker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 95 minutes, Fabian Ngo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FK Grunnfjord and the Sandstøl FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the final whistle sounded Sandstøl FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FK Grunnfjord.
