After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Reidar Finnøy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Molland's supporters rose to their feet, but Reidar Finnøy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ole Valberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ole Valberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reidar Finnøy in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th minute Reidar Finnøy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ole Valberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Molland's goalkeeper Alf Storvik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henning Valderhaug. With an all-out effort, Liagarda's Alf Storvik threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sander Hatlestad, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Henning Valderhaug could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Alf Storvik made a huge save. In the 26th minute Liagarda were awarded a corner. Ragnar Ørmen went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Liagarda's Sigurd Tveita getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 29 played minutes Liagarda got a freekick which was hit by Jeppe Lian. 30 minutes into the match, Liagarda's goal looked a bit too open when Simen Lyngmo came free, but Ole Valberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reidar Finnøy in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ole Valberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 32nd minute, Sigurd Tveita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute, Inge Worren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th match minute, Liagarda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sigurd Tveita to maneuver through the defense. If Inge Worren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ragnar Ørmen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Alf Storvik made a huge save. Alf Storvik made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Henning Valderhaug sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kjell Elden during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kjell Elden hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Henning Valderhaug got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Liagarda's Henning Valderhaug slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alf Storvik. That made the score 1-1 after 46 minutes of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Henning Valderhaug received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Alf Storvik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Liagarda's Sander Hatlestad got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alf Storvik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sander Hatlestad in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute Kjell Elden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ole Valberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Liagarda's Sigurd Tveita got his second yellow card of the match in the 61st minute. The referee ordered Sigurd Tveita off the ground. Ole Valberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reidar Finnøy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 66 minutes of play, Liagarda's Henning Valderhaug made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alf Storvik was left in no man's land by his defense there! With an all-out effort, Molland's Ole Valberg threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Reidar Finnøy, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 71st match minute, Liagarda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ragnar Ørmen to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sander Hatlestad in the 73rd minute of play forced Molland's goalkeeper Alf Storvik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 73 minutes, Ragnar Ørmen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Liagarda and the Molland players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th match minute, Liagarda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ragnar Ørmen to maneuver through the defense. Molland's Reidar Finnøy got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Reidar Finnøy came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Molland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reidar Finnøy couldn't finish the play. In the 79th minute, Kjell Elden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Liagarda's Sander Hatlestad got a free kick in the 86th minute. Alf Storvik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sander Hatlestad, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. If Henning Valderhaug had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 96th minute, Sander Hatlestad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 97th minute Sander Hatlestad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alf Storvik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Molland players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Liagarda.
