The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Kamsvåg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rune Brandvold to maneuver through the defense. After 5 played minutes Vardaberg BK got a freekick which was hit by Victor Mahmood. Kristian Skårdal acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 7th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Thor Høgberg. Marius Misund might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eskil Hoel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marius Misund ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Kamsvåg booed when Vardaberg BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jørgen Naustdal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute Finn-Christian Gjelsvik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristian Skårdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marius Misund in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eskil Hoel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lars-Erik Nissen in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eskil Hoel saved Vardaberg BK from getting behind. With a little luck, Kamsvåg's Kristian Skårdal got control of the ball when Victor Mahmood tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victor Mahmood could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Kristian Skårdal made a huge save. In the 26th minute, Vardaberg BK's Finn-Christian Gjelsvik dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After 30 minutes, Marius Misund made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Vardaberg BK's Eskil Hoel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Vardaberg BK booed when Kamsvåg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iver Helset didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Lars-Erik Nissen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 39 minutes into the game, Lars-Erik Nissen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Eskil Hoel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Sigve Lenes fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kamsvåg's protests and gave Sigve Lenes a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes Kamsvåg got a freekick which was hit by Sigve Lenes. Andreas Aandal kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Marius Misund took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eskil Hoel. Eskil Hoel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

When Lars-Erik Nissen got free in front of the goal in the 57th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Eskil Hoel was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Jørgen Naustdal hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Marius Misund notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Vardaberg BK's Eskil Hoel. Eskil Hoel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Tim Truong came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Kamsvåg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tim Truong couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 1-7 when Tim Truong sped through Vardaberg BK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eskil Hoel. After a defensive mix-up in Vardaberg BK's zone, Marius Misund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eskil Hoel came out of the goal and Marius Misund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 75 played minutes Kamsvåg got a freekick which was hit by Rune Brandvold. In the 79th minute, Marius Misund made a precise shot to the right of Eskil Hoel. Vardaberg BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Mahmood in the 88th minute of play forced Kamsvåg's goalkeeper Kristian Skårdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With splendid footwork Marius Misund arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-10 by the left pole in the game's 91st minute. Kamsvåg's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
