The audience thought a goal was coming when Bjørn Bjune got free with Runar Myrhaug in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With 44 minutes on the clock, Hauk Khan commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tor-Kristian Beck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sivert Kapstad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laukeng's Bjørn Bjune got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Runar Myrhaug showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tor-Kristian Beck in the 65th minute of the match. Bjørn Bjune fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Runar Myrhaug having to interfere. Verner Vestby might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roger Røst. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Verner Vestby ran back to his position shaking his head. Stein Kvalsund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
