Emanuel Eek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joachim Gilberg in the 37th minute of the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Kjetil Grønn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kjetil Grønn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emanuel Eek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mads Leirdal in the 43rd minute of play. Joachim Gilberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuel Eek having to make a save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
