Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Andreas Gran started the match with the kick off. Andreas Gran charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andreas Gran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Stig Hartvigsen was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 22 minutes into the match. The supporters of Smolan booed when Kings Park Rangers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig Hartvigsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tim Schou struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Christoffer Dyrseth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Smolan. Kings Park Rangers's Christoffer Dyrseth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arne Kåsa in the 26th minute of play. Smolan's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vebjørn Rognan to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Schou in the 53rd minute of play forced Kings Park Rangers's goalkeeper Christoffer Dyrseth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 54 played minutes Kings Park Rangers got a freekick which was hit by Cato Frafjord. If Christoffer Høiberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Vebjørn Rognan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 81st minute, Vebjørn Rognan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christoffer Dyrseth was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Christoffer Dyrseth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christoffer Høiberg went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andreas Gran got free with Finn-Christian Lilleås in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sigurd Lindholm received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Finn-Christian Lilleås came out and tried to block the shot, but Sigurd Lindholm slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 91st minute. Andreas Gran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Finn-Christian Lilleås having to interfere. There was no doubt that Smolan were the better team. Smolan's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
