In the 38th minute Brage Røhne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Steinsvik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Lambertseter's zone, Halvard Ursin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomas Steinsvik came out of the goal and Halvard Ursin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Halvard Ursin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thomas Steinsvik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Frode Sellæg in the 53rd minute of play forced Selvaag's goalkeeper Tim Wolden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 59 played minutes Lambertseter got a freekick which was hit by Finn-Christian Beck. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Halvard Ursin put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Thomas Steinsvik. The crowd rose to their feet as Lambertseter's Kjetil Slåtten slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tim Wolden. That made the score 2-2 after 72 minutes of play. Lambertseter's Thomas Steinsvik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Halvard Ursin in the 87th minute of play. After 88 minutes, Frode Sellæg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lambertseter and the Selvaag players grew even worse after the yellow card. Selvaag's supporters rose to their feet, but Brage Røhne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Steinsvik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Selvaag's Tim Wolden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Finn-Christian Beck in the 92nd minute of play. With a little luck, Selvaag's Tim Wolden got control of the ball when Rasmus Alvestad tried to sneak it across the goal line. Selvaag were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
