When Stig Hartvigsen fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kings Park Rangers's protests and gave Stig Hartvigsen a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Kings Park Rangers getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Stig Hartvigsen hit a great ball. Finn-Christian Beck did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Christoffer Dyrseth 15 minutes into the match. If Kjetil Slåtten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Kings Park Rangers's Cato Frafjord in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lambertseter's goalie prevented a goal. During the 32nd minute of the match Stig Hartvigsen completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Stig Hartvigsen a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After some careless play in the Lambertseter defense, Sigurd Lindholm kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomas Steinsvik. The Lambertseter fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomas Steinsvik should have stopped the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andreas Gran stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Lambertseter's Tor-Henrik Vabø got a free kick in the 51st minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. One of Lambertseter:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kings Park Rangers:s goal. In the 60th minute there was a penalty for Kings Park Rangers. Kristian Kolseth stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Thomas Steinsvik. 1-2. After 63 played minutes Kings Park Rangers got a freekick which was hit by Gunnar Dyrøy. The throw-in from Erling Sjursen in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Kings Park Rangers's Cato Frafjord. Andreas Gran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes in the game Isak Thygesen got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. Kings Park Rangers's Sigurd Lindholm got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Lambertseter booed when Kings Park Rangers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristoffer Kaur didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Kings Park Rangers players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
