The audience was convinced that Thor Molund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Finn-Christian Lilleås was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. The Schwinet fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Schwinet's Thor Molund looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thor Molund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Finn-Christian Lilleås stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thor Molund's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. In the 31st minute Thor Molund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Finn-Christian Lilleås saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, Smolan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John-Einar Vorland to maneuver through the defense. Thor Molund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Finn-Christian Lilleås tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thor Molund in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Finn-Christian Lilleås saved Smolan from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tim Schou got free with Kenneth Ueland in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kenneth Ueland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tim Schou, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After 42 played minutes Smolan got a freekick which was hit by Laurits Bjerke. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vebjørn Rognan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Schwinet's Kenneth Ueland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vebjørn Rognan in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54thth minute of the game Vebjørn Rognan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Schwinet's Kenneth Ueland was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 56th minute, Christoffer Høiberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Schou in the 59th minute of play forced Schwinet's goalkeeper Kenneth Ueland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Tim Schou left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Smolan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Kenneth Ueland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christoffer Høiberg in the 64th minute of play. Schwinet's Thor Molund got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ludvik Reksten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Schwinet's goal looked a bit too open when Tim Schou came free, but Kenneth Ueland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Thor Molund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Schwinet getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Mikael Rognan hit a great ball. Thor Molund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Finn-Christian Lilleås having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, John-Einar Vorland notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Schwinet's Kenneth Ueland. Kenneth Ueland was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Schwinet players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Smolan from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
