The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Markus Furuheim kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After 16 played minutes Puma IL got a freekick which was hit by Markus Furuheim. When Linus Nordrum fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blodskudt's protests and gave Linus Nordrum a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th match minute, Blodskudt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Linus Nordrum to maneuver through the defense. Frode Lyngås showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Markus Furuheim, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Sander Sviggum's late challenge caught a Puma IL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sander Sviggum helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Puma IL booed when Blodskudt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sander Sviggum didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Johan Låstad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frode Lyngås was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. In the 28th minute, Johan Låstad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Puma IL booed when Blodskudt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otto Svanberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute of the match, Ådne Søndenå got a very nice opportunity to score, but Frode Lyngås was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Linus Nordrum was the one to do the kick off. Ådne Søndenå fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frode Lyngås having to interfere. Blodskudt's Frode Lyngås played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johan Låstad in the 53rd minute of play. Sebastian Herheim kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute of the match Rasmus Berg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frode Lyngås skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sindre Værnes during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Blodskudt's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Frode Lyngås showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ådne Søndenå in the 94th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Puma IL had played much better football throughout.
