Christoffer Gustavson started the match with the kick off. In the 5th match minute, Foldrøyhamn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans-Erik Loe to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathias Liknes in the 14th minute of play forced FortySix&2's goalkeeper Halvdan Knapstad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Christoffer Gustavson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mathias Liknes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Halvdan Knapstad made a huge save. After having played for 19 minutes, Kristian Ingvaldsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FortySix&2's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristian Ingvaldsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christoffer Gustavson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Halvdan Knapstad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Liknes, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute, Asgeir Begum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in FortySix&2's zone, Christoffer Gustavson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Halvdan Knapstad came out of the goal and Christoffer Gustavson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Christoffer Gustavson took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Halvdan Knapstad to make any attempt to save it. In a very dangerous position, a player in Foldrøyhamn fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! The referee gave FortySix&2 a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Christian Trones, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Foldrøyhamn's Karsten Norli. 1-1. Karsten Norli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Asgeir Begum went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cent Mogen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Torstein Aagaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halvdan Knapstad having to interfere. Christoffer Gustavson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Halvdan Knapstad read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. If Torstein Aagaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eirik Hals during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Christoffer Gustavson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Axel Eckhoff made a precise shot to the right of Halvdan Knapstad. FortySix&2's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. When Cent Mogen fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FortySix&2's protests and gave Cent Mogen a yellow card for diving instead. After 76 played minutes Foldrøyhamn got a freekick which was hit by Christoffer Gustavson. Christoffer Gustavson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Halvdan Knapstad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 82 minutes, Christoffer Gustavson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Foldrøyhamn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christoffer Gustavson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute Christoffer Gustavson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Halvdan Knapstad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cent Mogen in the 91st minute of play forced Foldrøyhamn's goalkeeper Karsten Norli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Foldrøyhamn's Karsten Norli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Foldrøyhamn from getting a goal against them. There was no doubt that Foldrøyhamn were the better team. Foldrøyhamn's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
