Egil Welde's late challenge caught a Storhamar Fotball's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The supporters of Storhamar Fotball booed when Nordmøre FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Helgesen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 13 played minutes Nordmøre FK got a freekick which was hit by Christian Helgesen. Egil Welde was shown his second yellow card after 16 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 16th match minute, Nordmøre FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egil Welde to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 17 minutes, Eilert Solsvik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Storhamar Fotball's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eilert Solsvik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Niklas Foss made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eilert Solsvik in the 39th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christian Helgesen made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Eilif Sagbakken got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eilert Solsvik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Stefan Jensrud managed to get in a good position for a shot. Storhamar Fotball's supporters rose to their feet, but Stefan Jensrud was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niklas Foss breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th minute, Asmund Gjerdrum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 1-0 became the score in the 73rd minute when Eilert Solsvik elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Nordmøre FK's Arild Kirkemo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Storhamar Fotball. Christian Helgesen kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Niklas Foss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eilert Solsvik in the 94th minute of play. Nordmøre FK's Niklas Foss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eilert Solsvik in the 96th minute of play.
