The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thomas Østlund during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Kovlands IF booed when Holstad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Østlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kovlands IF's Hans Lilleeng came free and shot a quick shot against goal 76 minutes in the game, fortunately Sivert Espeseth had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 76th match minute, Holstad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kjartan Grøterud to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Dag Anderssen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sivert Espeseth was relentless in the 80th minute of the game.
