Spectators: 8435 (Terracing: 6327, Seating: 1940, VIP seats: 168) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kai-Arne Polden started the match with the kick off. Nordmøre FK's Niklas Foss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredrik Bjune in the 2nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Halvard Sletten in the 19th minute of play forced Nordmøre FK's goalkeeper Niklas Foss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Nordmøre FK's zone, Steffen Gjermundsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niklas Foss came out of the goal and Steffen Gjermundsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 22 minutes into the game, Halvard Sletten cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Niklas Foss was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kai-Arne Polden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 39 minutes into the game, Axel Lillejord was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nordmøre FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Viva La Vestby the free kick. A collision led to Nordmøre FK getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Axel Lillejord hit a great ball. Niklas Foss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steffen Gjermundsen in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Steffen Gjermundsen made the kick off in the second half. Finn-Christian Ekeberg kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kai-Arne Polden in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bastian Hildrum prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kai-Arne Polden struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Bastian Hildrum didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nordmøre FK. In the 63rd minute, Axel Lillejord hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Halvard Sletten came free with the goalkeeper in the 66th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Niklas Foss could save by the left post. After 67 minutes of play Nordmøre FK's Axel Lillejord was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 67 played minutes Nordmøre FK got a freekick which was hit by Axel Lillejord. In the 74th minute Steffen Gjermundsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niklas Foss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Halvard Sletten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Øyvind Aspås's late challenge caught a Nordmøre FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. John-Edvin Oliversen made in the 87th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Nordmøre FK's Christian Helgesen. When Tor-Andre Mikkelborg fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nordmøre FK's protests and gave Tor-Andre Mikkelborg a yellow card for diving instead. When Egil Welde fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
